New album Kickstarter announcement!

Hey buddies,

We've been very very fortunate over the years to have the support of our most excellent fans. And we could really use that support again. We're finishing up our new album, Mayberry, scheduled for release in May, and we've set up a Kickstarter for our fans to pre-order the album and help us raise some funds to release and promote it. There's a bunch of cool extras you can score in addition to the new album, so check it out and help out if you can. Tell your friends! We're forever grateful to all of you.

Here's the link to check out the project:

We are very excited about the release, and can't wait to share the album with you. In the meantime, we've got a few killer shows coming up here in the Pacific Northwest (Portland, Seattle, and Bremerton) with our good buddies Drag the River. We'll definitely be rockin' songs from the new album, so don't miss the chance to catch some of the new tunes!

Thank you all for your support!

Hey buddies,

Next Wednesday, Feb 6th here in Portland, we'll be sharing the stage once again with our old friends from Denver CO, Slim Cessna's Auto Club!
If you haven't had the chance to see them yet, you're in for something here. Some of the finest songwriting around, and a show that never fails to deliver.
Opening up the show is our good buddies from here in Portland,Lewi Longmire & The Left Coast Roasters. Lewi's always been one of Portland's best, and we're stoked that he's on the bill with us as well, so get there early!
We go on second. We've been furiously writing and recording this new record, and we'll have plenty of new songs to roll out for the first time live here on Wednesday. Can't wait to let them out of the bag.
Cheers, and see you next week!

New Album update + shows with Denver's best

Hey all,
It seems quite a while since we've made a substantial update, so we thought it would be a damn fine time to check in and let y'all know how things are coming with our new album.
For the past few weeks we've been basically writing new songs and demoing them like mad. Mike's been on fire bringing the new tunes, and we've just been tearing them apart and putting them back together until we've got 'em nice and tasty, right where we want them. We've got some tracks laid down now that the arrangements are just about polished, and we're digging into the bulk of tracking in earnest over the next couple of weeks.
It's been a while since we've put out a new record, so we want to do this one right, and we're taking our sweet time to make sure we do. We appreciate all of your patience; we'll do all we can to make it worth the long wait.
In the meantime, you'll get to hear some of the new songs at a few shows we have lined up here in February and March! We've said it before and we'll say it again, there might not be a better place for music these days than Colorado, and we get the chance to play with 2 of the state's finest bands in the next 2 months.
Starting on February 6th at Dante's, we'll be sharing the stage again with the legendary Slim Cessna's Auto Club. If you haven't seen them before, here's a taste of what you've missed:

Then in March, we get to hit the road for a couple of days with our old buddies Drag the River. These guys are responsible for just some of the best damn songs being written today, hands down. Check 'em out:

SOB with Two Cow Garage, and Mike D's on the road!

Hey all!

Coming up on November 10th, we'll be playing with our old buddies Two Cow Garage here in Portland at Dante's! !t's been a while since we got to play with these fellas, and if you haven't gotten a chance to check them out yet you really don't know what you're missing. Also on the bill are Illinois rockers The Copyrights, and fellow Portlanders Truckstop Darlin'.

Tickets are available at Dante's website here:

Mike D will also be playing solo with them the next night up in Seattle at the High Dive. Here's the link with info:

Two Cow Garage doesn't get out to the West coast nearly as much as we'd all like them to, so don't miss your chance to catch this show. And for us, things are rolling along nicely putting songs together for our next album, so you're likely to hear some new ones at this show. We'll be on fairly early, so get there around 9 to check out all the bands.

Mike D is also hitting the road starting today for a few dates in Oregon, California and Nevada with fellow singer/songwriter Matt Woods! Mike is out supporting his latest album,
Nah Mr. Death... Ima Comin' for You!!
Here are the dates:
OCT. 31 - HOLLYWOOD, CA @ OPEN FIST THEATER 7pm early show

Hope to see you all there!

SOB live in Portland on 8/25 + Mike D's new album!!!

Hey all!

We've got a couple bits of news for this month, starting with our next big show, right here in Portland at Dante's on Saturday, August 25th. This will be our only Portland show for quite a while, and we're making it a great one by sharing the stage with some great Portland bands, including what may be Portland's best new(ish) band, Brothers of the Last Watch. Featuring Portland stalwarts McDougal on guitar/vocals and John Johnson (of Hillstomp fame) on drums/vocals, these guys are the real deal. If you haven't seen them yet, this is an excellent chance to resolve that problem in a hurry.

Also on the bill is our good buddies RootJack, as well as Portland rockers Burn the Stage. This show's going to start early, around 8:30, and rock all night long. So don't miss it!

The other big piece of news is what will be available to purchase that night, and that's Mike D's brand new album, Nah Mr. Death... Ima Comin' for You!! It's been a long time coming, but it's now on sale at CD Baby, iTunes, and many other retailers. Here's what the folks over at had to say about it:

"Nah, Death I’m Comin’ For You only proves to me that MDD can do no wrong. Ten new tracks and every last one of them a keeper."

As a bonus, not only do you get Mike's new studio album, but there's also a second bonus live disc featuring 15 tracks.

As for SOB, we've just gotten started on finally putting together some new songs for our next album. If things go well, we'll be debuting a couple of the new ones at this show.

Hope to see you all there!
